Infants 1 (3 Months - 9 Months)
For Infants aged between 3 - 9 Months old. (Parents please note that the class can accommodate movement of a couple of months either side of age category)
Infants 2 (9 Months - 18 Months)
For Infants aged between 9 - 18 Months old. (Parents please note that the class can accommodate movement of a couple of months either side of age category)
Toddlers (18 Months - 3 Years)
For Toddlers aged between 18 Months - 3 Years old. (Parents please note that the class can accommodate movement of a couple of months either side of age category)
Preschoolers 1 (3-5 Years)
For preschool children aged between 3 - 5 Years old. This level would be for children who have never swam in a pool before and are within this age group. (Parents please note that the class can accommodate movement of a couple of months either side of age category)
Preschoolers 2 (3-5 Years)
For preschool children aged between 3 - 5 Years old. This level would be for children who have swam in a pool before and are within this age group. They will be comfortable with their face in the water and floating independently with a float/woggle. (Parents please note that the class can accommodate movement of a couple of months either side of age category)
Level 1
This level would be for children who have never swam in a pool before. A parent will need to accompany the child in the water.
Level 2
This level would be for children who can put their face and blow bubbles in the water, can kick independently with a float. A parent will need to accompany the child in the water. (Except for Waterford, no parent required)
Level 3
For children who can swim on front and back 1-3 meters without the support of float. AGE 5+. This level does not have parents in the water.
Level 4
This level is for children to perfect their technique on front crawl, back & breast strokes up to a distance of 10m
Level 5
This level is for children to perfect technique on all strokes up to a distance of 20m/25m
Level 6
This level is for children to perfect technique on all strokes up to a distance of 100m.
Level 7
This level is for children to perfect technique on all strokes up to a distance of 200m. This is a 45 minute class. (30mins class in Waterford)
Adult Beginners
During these lessons, you’ll focus on gaining confidence and feeling at home in the water.You’ll begin by learning how to stay safe near the pool and how to get in and out of the water correctly.
Once in the pool, your instructor will help you to feel secure and relaxed. Before long, you’ll be blowing bubbles and floating with the help of swim equipment.
By the end of Level 2, you’ll be able to confidently move through the pool by kicking and using floats. You’ll also be able to tread water, giving you a greater sense of security
Adult Intermediate
As a minimum you should be able to confidently move through the pool by kicking and using floats. You must also be able to tread water. Must be able to submerge face.
As an intermediate swimmer, you’ll master the front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke.
At this point, you’ll feel like all your hard work is really paying off.
You’ll even have the chance to try activities such as swimming underwater and diving to the bottom of the pool to collect objects.
Adult Advanced
You must be able to swim competently 1 length on front crawl, back crawl and breast stoke.
At the advanced levels, you’ll work hard on your technique, distance and stamina.
As well as this, your instructor will help you to focus on the aspects of swimming that mean the most to you.
Perhaps you want to swim for fitness, attempt an open-water race or develop life-saving skills. Whatever your interests, you’ll get advice on how to get the most out of the sport.
